    Preferred Qualifications:Experience which demonstrates the use of student systems in higher education. Specifically, the use of financial systems, accounting systems, or student information systems.

    Experience training others on complex business processes.

     

    Experience that demonstrates strong attention to detail, independent decision-making, and managing multiple priorities and simultaneous projects.

    Job Description:

    Are you passionate about accuracy, collaboration, and student success? The Office of the Registrar is seeking a Registrar Specialist II to join our dedicated and innovative Tuition and Fees team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where attention to detail and effective communication are highly valued. The successful candidate will support critical tuition and fee processes that directly impact the student experience.     Key Responsibilities:

    + Serve as a resource on all tuition and fee assessment policies and procedures.

    + Provide expert-level customer support to students, families, and campus partners.

    + Manage and respond to daily email and phone inquiries related to tuition and fees.

    + Conduct testing and ensure accuracy of tuition and fee assessment configurations.

    + Perform regular audits of tuition and fee assessments to ensure accuracy and compliance.

    + Troubleshoot assessment issues in multiple student information systems.

    + Partner with IT and Student Information staff to resolve process and system issues.

    + Support configuration of tuition-related attributes (e.g., tuition reductions, student cohorts).

    + Assist with new course fee creation and assessment troubleshooting.

    + Manage course fee request approvals and role assignments.

    + Maintain up-to-date documentation, procedures, and Knowledge Base Articles.

    + Create and deliver training materials for campus stakeholders.

    + Support and process Learning Community reserved seating requests and permissions.

    + Provide timely support during orientation periods to advisors and learning community staff.

    + Recommend and implement improvements to tuition and fee-related processes.

    + This position will also be expected to assist with the university commencement ceremonies at the conclusion of spring and fall terms.

    Example of Duties

     

    + Provide customer support on tuition and fee related topics to students, their families, and all campus partners.

    + Manage incoming daily customer emails and phone calls.

    + Ensure satisfactory testing of tuition and fee assessment configuration.

    + Troubleshoot tuition and fee assessment issues discovered during testing and auditing.

    + Document new and current step-by-step standard operating procedures completed by the Tuition and Fees team.

    + Keep procedures up to date as changes occur.

     

    Level Guidelines• Intermediate-level position with solid professional and/or technical skills working under general supervision to achieve goals• Applies broad, working knowledge of the principles of the field to moderately complex, difficult, and varied problems and issues• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action and resolve problems• Responds to a broad range of inquiries and requests• May provide training and/or direction to lower-level staff• May lead projects of moderate scope and complexity• Provides guidance to students
