About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to head the Internal Communications and Culture teams. This strategic leader will be responsible for engaging employees, strengthening internal culture, and fostering an inclusive, values-driven workplace.
This role will partner directly with senior leadership to align internal communications and culture initiatives with key business priorities, ensuring employees are informed, inspired, and connected to our mission and goals.
This leader will play a critical role in shaping our employee experience, enhancing cross-functional collaboration, and supporting change management in a dynamic and evolving business environment.
Responsibilities:
Internal Communications (60%)
+ Develop and execute a comprehensive internal communications strategy that aligns with business objectives and company values.
+ Lead the creation of clear, engaging messaging for organizational updates, leadership communications, All Hands meetings, newsletters, intranet, and more.
+ Serve as a trusted advisor to executives and department leaders, ensuring consistent messaging and effective delivery.
+ Drive effective communication around major initiatives, including strategy updates, change management, acquisitions, and other enterprise-wide programs.
+ Establish feedback loops and listening mechanisms to ensure communication is two-way and responsive to organizational and employee needs.
+ Partner with Human Resources, Technology and other teams to ensure internal platforms and tools support effective communication.
Culture & Community (40%)
+ Champion the organization’s values, mission, and commitment to inclusion and belonging across all levels of the company.
+ Drive strategic initiatives and embed inclusive practices into hiring, development, recognition, and workplace culture.
+ Lead employee engagement and culture programs such as BRGs, recognition programs, milestone celebrations, and inclusive events.
+ Measure and report on internal communications, engagement and inclusion OKRs, turning insights into action.
+ Partner with HRBPs, Talent and Corporate Training teams to integrate belonging and inclusion into talent management and training programs.
Qualifications:
+ 10+ years of progressive experience in internal communications, employee engagement, and/or human resources; at least 5 years in a leadership role.
+ Proven track record of aligning communication and culture strategy to business outcomes, with measurable impact on performance and engagement.
+ Proven experience building and scaling internal communications and culture programs in a matrixed or global organization.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including executive presence and storytelling ability.
+ Experience leading large-scale change initiatives and developing messaging strategies in fast-paced, high-growth environments.
+ Deep understanding of inclusive and belonging best practices, with a strong track record of designing and implementing impactful programs.
+ Strong emotional intelligence, collaboration skills, and the ability to influence all levels and drive alignment across functions.
+ Comfortable navigating ambiguity and leading through change.
+ Track record of commitment to prior employers.
+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit university or college in Communications, Organizational Psychology, Human Resources, or a related field; advanced degree a plus.
