    The research associate will conduct interviews with residents in four cities currently considering municipal-level reparations initiatives: San Francisco, St. Paul, Detroit, and Asheville. These interviews will take place both on site and online, making some travel a requirement of this position. After conducting each interview, the research associate will be responsible for writing brief memos that summarize themes that emerged from the interviews and maintain an organized database of recordings, transcripts, and interview memos. The research associate will also be responsible for participating in bi-weekly team meetings.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    An undergraduate degree in a social science (e.g. political science, sociology) is required. A master’s degree in a social science preferred.

    Experience:

    Previous experience conducting interviews is preferred.
