Position Summary
Employee is responsible for solution design in accordance with strategic architecture for major systems and their subsystems utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools and existing designs. Provides leadership, guidance, and oversight for activities of applications systems analysis and programming personnel for a major project, several smaller projects, domain or department in support of the business strategy. Provides focus on cross-application integration & solution design across projects as necessary to ensure success.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of overall IT development experience including the following,
• Hands-on experience with Hyperion Essbase, Planning, Data Management, EPM Automate
• Working knowledge of Power Shell, SQL, Python
• Hands-on Smart View
• Experience with Oracle EPM Cloud (the cloud skill set is specific to administering Oracle EPM in the cloud hosted by Oracle, not a more general cloud engineer/architect for something like Microsoft Azure or AWS. There is no need for a resource that supports backend cloud services.)
• Strong ability to understand finance & accounting principles
• Strong communication skills
• Plans, designs and ensures the review of cost effective application program solutions.
• Works closely with business, vendor and IT management to ensure solution delivery across complex business requirements and processes and recommends solutions across diverse development platforms, computing environments (e.g., host based, distributed systems, client server), software, hardware, technologies, tools, purchased solutions, etc.
• Works with Compliance teams to support remediation of system vulnerabilities
• Review and modify Annual Disaster Recovery Plans
• Support application Periodic Access Review (PAR) activities
Preferred Qualifications
• Technical leadership skills (applies to Senior Advisor)
• Ensures analysis and system design in support of multi-business systems integration.
• Works closely with technology partners to coordinate and plan ongoing and scheduled system maintenance activities. May assist other team members in these activities.
• Drives adherence of the efficient utilization of the prescribed tools in a disciplined manner, which may include execution of key technical reviews at project gates and/or milestones. Anticipates, analyzes, and reacts to the potential impact changes to technology and/or products may have on the business and the computing environment.
• Oversees/Coordinates the integration/merging of code between vendor staff for Break/Fix and application staff for projects.
• Oversees/Coordinates the completion of unit testing, integration and system testing, according to detailed test plans to ensure high-quality systems. Assists business partners with User Acceptance Testing.
• Responsible, as a senior technical contributor, for strategic initiatives for the set of applications aligned with a subdomain or domain.
• Interacts and receives general direction from the Business, Project/Program Managers, Application Architects, ADMs and/or Delivery Leads.
• Apply industry wide understanding of technology, tools and methodologies to assist in developing solutions on projects of strategic significance. Evaluate and identify issues and constraints pertaining to technology approach; coordinate evaluation of solutions to ensure adherence to Aetna technology standards (such as security, database, etc.)
• Ensures technology remains at current levels for enterprise tools and operational upgrades
• Needs a solid understanding of vendor contract stipulations for outsourcing agreements.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent. Will accept a verifiable H.S. diploma / GED with one year of relevant work experience for every year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$101,970.00 - $203,940.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
