Fabrication Operator (1st Shift)

**Shift:** 1st Shift (6am to 2:30pm)

**Pay Rate:** $20.00 per hour (based on shift and experience)

**Adecco** , in partnership with a local client which is currently hiring a **Fabrication Operator** for a well-established manufacturing facility in **Fairfield, NJ** . This is a full-time, year-round opportunity with weekly pay and a comprehensive benefits package—including some benefits beginning **Day 1** of employment.

We are seeking individuals with **Turret Punch Press experience** who are motivated, safety-conscious, and ready to work in a team-oriented environment.

Schedule

+ Must be flexible for training on 1st or 2nd shift

Key Responsibilities

+ Set up, operate, and shut down CNC fabricating and forming machines (including VMCs)

+ Inspect first-piece parts and conduct in-process quality checks

+ Follow engineering drawings and BOMs to ensure part accuracy

+ Maintain tools, sharpen dies, and perform basic machine troubleshooting and maintenance

+ Load/unload parts from machines and perform secondary operations (e.g., filing, sanding)

+ Collaborate with supervisors to prioritize daily tasks

+ Adhere to all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized work area (5S practices)

+ Support continuous improvement initiatives

+ Train fellow team members when needed

Qualifications

+ High school diploma, GED, or technical certification (preferred)

+ 3+ years CNC setup experience or 4+ years operating specialized equipment

+ Experience with Turret Punch Presses strongly preferred

+ Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and use measuring tools

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

+ Reliable attendance and punctuality

+ English proficiency preferred

+ Familiarity with lean principles (5S, Kanban)

Physical Requirements

+ Ability to stand for 8+ hours per shift

+ Lift up to 50 lbs frequently, up to 100 lbs occasionally

+ Repetitive hand movements, overhead reaching, and exposure to sharp edges and dust

+ Work in a non-temperature-controlled environment

+ Steel-toed shoes required

**Pay Details:** $20.00 per hour
