As an Instrumentation & Electrical Project Commissioning & Startup Engineer you will collaborate with Technology, Production, and Maintenance personnel to lead the commissioning and startup of the MDI 3 and ANI 3 expansion projects. Your work will have a significant impact on the organization by ensuring the successful integration of new assets and the implementation of predictive and preventative maintenance programs for instrumentation and electrical. This position is considered developmental and supports skills development for either a leadership or technical expertise track career.

As an Instrumentation & Electrical Project Commissioning & Startup Engineer​​​​​​​, you create chemistry by...

+ Leading the instrument and electrical commissioning team, working with the IE supervisor, technicians, and contractors. You will also be responsible to coordinate the development of loop test folders required for commissioning and check out, and provides leadership and technical support to complete commissioning and start-up activities.

+ Ensuring the application of all safety rules, promotes safety programs and behaviors, and develops recommendations for training and development of the in-house maintenance team to support the new assets MDI 3 and ANI 3.

+ Providing input into the maintenance expense items needed for the Project Start-up Cost center, updating the project in INtools or other applicable databases, and ensuring all documentation is as-built prior to RFSU. This position also requires technical expertise to support maintenance activities and remove barriers to facilitate execution productivity.

+ Developing SIF proof test procedures, including valve leak test and SIF test forms, and leading the pre-start-up proof testing of all SIFs installed or modified by the project.

+ Collaborating with Technology, Production, and maintenance personnel to provide services related to design review, repair, and maintenance (predictive/preventative). You will also communicate daily key issues in the area, including job or system status, incident/safety topics, production area information, and feedback to the construction and commissioning teams.

+ Supporting Root Cause Failure Analysis and troubleshooting of instrument, electrical, and controls problems as they arise. In addition, you will provide the maintenance input necessary to achieve the MDI 3 and ANI 3 project objectives and integrate the new assets into existing maintenance workflows.

If you...

+ Have a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related degree

+ Possess 5+ years of experience in a chemical or manufacturing facility

+ Possess working knowledge of preferably both maintenance and project commissioning activities.
