    West Central Georgia Regional Hospital - Columbus, Ga. is seeking qualified applicants for RN Charge Nurse.

     

    Shift: 3rd (11:00pm - 7:30am)

     

    Expected role and responsibilities

     

    + Collaborate with physicians and other staff to provide the most comprehensive care possible to our patients

    + Responsible for the activities within your assigned unit for the duration of the shift

    + Ensuring staff adheres to workplace protocols and procedures

    + Supervise nursing personnel, including training and disciplining

    + Act as a liaison between nurse and doctors

    + Maintain accurate, detailed reports and client records

    + Overseeing the smooth transition from one shift to another

    + Strong organizational and problem - solving skills are integral to this position

     

    Psychiatric Nurse Requirements and Qualifications

     

    + Associate or Bachelor's degree in nursing

    + Master's degree in nursing with a focus on psychiatry or mental health strongly preferred

    + Georgia State RN license OR Compact RN license

    + Basic Life Support certification

    + Experience in an inpatient psychiatric setting is preferred

    A minimal of 2 years clinical experience is required for an RN to become a Charge Nurse
