We are currently seeking a Behavioral Support Clinician that will assist in providing clinical behavioral oversight to residential, vocational, and in-home programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities and brain injuries throughout our Danbury, CT group homes and program areas.
The BSC will be working alongside members of our behavioral services team, to write, provide, and implement individualized behavioral plans for the individuals that we serve at Ability Beyond. Each BSC has an individual caseload where the day to day includes driving to our residential group homes, collecting and analyzing data, writing behavioral plans, running integrity checks, and teaching individuals as necessary.
This role is perfect for the candidate who has completed their BCBA or is in the process to becoming a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst and has experience as a Behavior Support Clinician or in a related role.
Key Responsibilities include:
+ Developing individualized Behavior Support Plans using Behavior Analytic Technology.
+ Monitoring treatment integrity and analyzing behavioral data to continually evaluate an individual’s progress.
+ Assisting with development and implementation of training to staff across programs.
+ Participating with the intake process in order to assess individuals for possible placement at Ability Beyond.
+ Engaging in multidisciplinary collaboration and participating in a working partnership with relevant internal members and external agencies to provide continuity of care.
+ Participating in transition and/or discharge planning in an effort to maximize individuals’ opportunities for success.
Requirements
+ Masters degree in a related field preferred; Bachelors degree with are actively working on post-graduate degree will be considered.
+ Two years of experience working with developmental disabilities or acquired brain injury required.
+ Board Certified Behavior Analyst certification is preferred, but not required.
+ Knowledge of ABA and Behavior Principals is required.
+ Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
+ Previous experience building relationships and communicating effectively with other staff and supports is strongly preferred.
+ Expertise in Positive Behavior Supports and research preferred.
