• Nuclear Medicine Technologist

    Position OverviewThe Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for the ordering, preparation, and administration of radiopharmaceutical materials to patients. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist operates gamma equipment or thyroid uptake and probe for the visualization for both the structure and function of major organ systems within the body. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist utilizes knowledge of radiation physics and safety in the preparation, measurement, and administration of isotopes.

    Primary Department or Work Location:

    Diagnostic Imaging, UHS Wilson Medical Center

    Work Shift and Schedule:

    This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.

    Compensation Range:

    $37.00 - $55.50 per hour, depending on experience

     

    This position is not eligible for benefits.

    Education/ExperienceMinimum Required:Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Nuclear MedicinePreferred:Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Medicine.

    License/CertificationMinimum Required:

    + NYS Radiologic Technologist license in Nuclear Medicine AND NMTCB or ARRT(N) eligible

    + NMTCB or ARRT(N) certified within six (6) months of hire
