We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Business Partner responsible for developing and implementing HR processes, policies, procedures, and metrics that support the organization’s human capital goals. This role is crucial in aligning HR strategies with business objectives and ensuring a productive and compliant work environment.
Responsibilities
+ Recommend and participate in the development of policies, procedures, activities, and programs related to recruiting, employee education, management development, employee relations, affirmative action, benefits, and salary administration.
+ Direct and coordinate staffing activities to recruit highly qualified talent for both full-time and temporary positions.
+ Develop programs to enhance employee engagement and partner with functional departments to meet business unit and company goals.
+ Support managers on staffing decisions, legal issues, and the development of position selection criteria.
+ Resolve complex employee relations issues through effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
+ Partner with managers to deliver appropriate disciplinary actions as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws by maintaining in-depth knowledge of all legal requirements.
+ Interpret and apply HR policies, ensuring consistent application while providing solutions that balance business and employee needs.
+ Administer benefits and compensation programs, including disability and FMLA programs, focusing on cost management and compliance.
+ Collaborate with training resources to develop and deploy training, education, and communication tools.
+ Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals.
+ Gather, analyze, and interpret HR-related data for report generation and management decision making.
+ Participate in compensation and benefits surveys and maintain records of insurance coverage and personnel transactions.
+ Possess knowledge of Safety and OSHA regulations as it relates to Workers Compensation.
Essential Skills
+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related discipline.
+ Minimum of 4 years of significant, direct, and practical HR generalist experience in the manufacturing industry.
+ PHR or SPHR certification is highly preferred.
+ Problem-solving skills with a capacity for creative, innovative solutions.
+ Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proven leadership skills and ability to work effectively with a management team.
+ Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
+ Ability to develop, implement, and present training programs.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in employee relations and payroll management.
Work Environment
This is an onsite role with working hours from Monday to Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM. You will be the sole HR representative at the site, with corporate headquarters located in North Carolina. The position requires walking the production floor and engaging with employees on the fly, though it is primarily a desk role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $38.46/hr.
