    Job Summary:

    Position Summary: Provide Athletic Training Services to a local high school/college in coordination with physicians at Upstate Orthopedics. Infrequently provide patient care support in a clinic setting.

    Current High School Opening: Bishop Grimes

    25 hours/week with 15 hours/week clinic or assistance at other schools

    Responsibilities:

    -Availability after school hours to provide care to student athletes as schedule allows

     

    - Provide home game coverage to assigned school.

     

    -Travel with Varsity Football to away games as schedule allows.

     

    -Provide care in injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation of injuries, first aid, and emergency care.

     

    -Documentation of Injuries/Illness

     

    -Assist Athletic Director as needed

     

    -Proper Referral to overseeing Physician

     

    -Abide by standing orders with Physician and scope of practice in NYS

    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor's Degree in Athletic Training

    Current BOC Athletic Training Certification

    Current NYS Athletic Training Licensure from Dept. of Education

     

    BLS CPR/AED Certification - American Red Cross or American Heart Association

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Work Days:

    Monday - Friday flexed second shift - some Saturdays as needed
