    Job Title: Lab Tech IIJob Description

     

    The Lab Tech II is responsible for performing routine analytical testing to support quality control of pharmaceutical products on the second shift from Sunday to Thursday. The role involves some data interpretation and coordination of testing samples, as well as inputting data into computer applications. Candidates should have good laboratory skills, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, and experience operating analytical equipment such as analytical balances, total carbon analyzers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine analytical testing to ensure quality control of pharmaceutical products.

    + Coordinate the testing of samples and input data into relevant computer applications.

    + Interpret data as required for quality control processes.

    + Operate and maintain analytical equipment, including analytical balances, total carbon analyzers, spectrophotometers, and pH meters.

    + Exhibit strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in basic HPLC instrumentation in a laboratory setting.

    + Experience with data acquisition software such as Chromeleon, Chem Station, and Empower.

    + Bachelor's degree in chemistry or biochemistry, or an associate's degree.

    + Attention to detail.

    + Strong organizational skills.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in a GMP laboratory setting.

    + Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques.

    + Experience with HPLC/GC testing and data interpretation.

    + 0-3 years of experience with HPLC in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred but not required.

    Work Environment

    This is an on-site role based in a fast-paced laboratory environment. The successful candidate will work as part of a team but should also be capable of working independently. The potential for overtime exists, requiring flexibility in working hours.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
