Medical Assistant - Jacksonville, FL

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our urgent care clinic. The ideal candidate will assist with a variety of clinical tasks and ensure smooth operations within the clinic.

Responsibilities

+ Collect patient demographics and update electronic health records (EHR)

+ Triage patients based on symptoms and urgency of care

+ Assist with patient care, including taking vitals and medical histories

+ Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families

+ Support front desk operations as needed

+ Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and medical terminology standards

Essential Skills

+ 1+ year of experience in a fast-paced clinic environment

+ Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

+ Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare procedures

+ Strong customer service skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Preferred but not required: MA diploma or certification

+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Work Environment

The role is based onsite at a primary care clinic, where you will see between 20-30 patients a day. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 8am to 5pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
