    We are seeking a dedicated Resident Project Representative/Inspector to conduct on-site observations to monitor the progress and quality of work in compliance with contract documents. This role involves serving as the engineer's liaison with contractors, maintaining accurate records, and reviewing contractor applications for payment. Projects include: Municipal Water Distribution Systems, Wastewater Collection Systems, Water Treatment Plants, Wastewater Treatment Plants, Water Lines (underground), and Sewer Lines (underground).     Job Responsibilities

    + Conduct on-site observations to ensure the quality of work aligns with contract documents.

    + Serve as the engineer’s liaison with contractors.

    + Maintain detailed records, including a daily logbook and updated drawings reflecting authorized changes.

    + Review the contractor’s application for payment and ensure compliance with established procedures.

    + Attend various meetings with the contractor, such as preconstruction conferences and progress meetings.

    + Assist the engineer in serving as the owner’s liaison with the contractor and obtaining additional details as required.

    + Remain on the job site for the entire duration of the project’s construction.

    + Forward any recommendations to the assigned engineer.

    + Comply with site safety programs and perform other duties as assigned.

    + Utilize laptop and computer software to document and report on projects.

    Job Requirements

    + Construction Inspection experience on Water, Wastewater, and/or Stormwater Construction projects

    + Ability to read Civil Construction Plans and Specifications

    + Ability to travel to Project Sites and stay Overnight when needed

    + Excellent Computer and Microsoft Suite skills

    Travel Requirements

    + Candidates must be willing to travel overnight. They will stay in hotel/apartment at times for projects. They need to be good with staying away from home.

    + This team has projects all throughout the State of Indiana and will do their best to keep people as close to their homes as possible. However, candidates will need to go where the work is and be willing to work out of town.

    + Candidates will use their own personal vehicle and be reimbursed 65.5 cents per mile

    + Projects that are within 1-2 hours of the person's home are typically a commute back and forth. If the commute to the project site is over 90 minutes, then the company will look to see what is more cost effective - Either mileage or a hotel paid for by the company. Per Diem while away will be $40 per day.

    + The initial project will be in New Market, IN, for a wastewater plant and sewer system project.

    Work Environment

    The position requires working in the field in various weather conditions. It involves observing and writing daily reports on construction activities. This is not a hands-on inspection job. The role requires travel across Indiana, with potential overnight stays in hotels or apartments provided by the company. Standard construction hours are from 7 AM to 4 PM, with the possibility of overtime up to 50+ hours a week.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $37.72/hr.
