Mechanical Designer

We are seeking a Mechanical Designer to support the design and development of advanced vacuum truck equipment. Reporting to the Design Engineer, this role involves creating and refining mechanical systems including metal fabrications, hydraulics, pneumatics, drive systems, and electrical components.
Key Responsibilities
+ Develop and maintain complex 3D models and detailed 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
+ Create and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs) in SolidWorks and ERP systems.
+ Maintain accurate engineering documentation and specifications.
+ Support the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process and related updates.
+ Collaborate with production, materials teams, and vendors to optimize designs for cost and manufacturability.
+ Provide technical support to production and service teams for troubleshooting.
+ Participate in continuous improvement and special engineering projects.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
+ Associate degree (2-year minimum) in Mechanical Design or related field.
+ 2–5 years of experience in mechanical or machine design.
+ Proficiency in SolidWorks, including Advanced Assembly, Sheet Metal, Routings, and Drawings.
+ Experience with SolidWorks EPDM is a plus.
Skills & Abilities
+ Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines independently.
+ Excellent communication and documentation skills.
+ High attention to detail and organizational skills.
+ Physically able to lift up to 40 lbs. and work on ladders as needed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
