    Description

    Special Order Designer to support the ETO (Engineered To Order) Group. Group does knock off of standard products with complexity ranging from seismic considerations, color changes, electrical changes, special coatings, UPS, etc.

    Job Responsibilities:

    + The candidate will be responsible for the creation or modification of design concepts within the Creo environment for Carrier Charlotte air cooled packaged product products. This includes working with documents, drawings and bills of material in a variety of formats.

    + Working knowledge of manufacturing fabrication and assembly methods;

    + Design of Part Modeling, Large Assembly Modeling, Sheet-Metal, Piping.

    + Manage data change and version controls;

    + Design of Part Modeling, Large Assembly Modeling, Sheet-Metal, Piping.

    + Manage data change and version controls;

    + Effective utilization of engineering design tools (Creo, Windchill, ProjectLink, Bill of material system, SharePoint)

    + Demonstrated creativity in new product design and customization;

    + Strong design skills, engineering documentation systems and ability to work within fast moving engineering design team;

    + Coordinate design activities with local team and offshore design teams.

    Experience:

    Experience needed for the position includes but is not limited to the following:

    Three plus years experience in mechanical design and design project management

    Fully experienced with Pro/ENGINEER (3 years minimum; current Wildfire build)

    o Advanced Assemblies

    o 3D Modeling

    o Sheet Metal

    o Piping

    o Drawing

    Fully experienced with Windchill (2 years minimum)

    o Document Management

    o Change Management

    o Bill of Materials

     

    Excellent skill and experience with drafting standards and procedures

     

    Good verbal and written communications skills

     

    Experience with bill of material structure and databases

     

    Experience with sheet metal design and manufacturing processes

     

    Experience with piping design and manufacturing processes

     

    Previous relevant job history experience, especially HVAC product design and/or product sustaining

     

    Some exposure to electro-mechanical control systems and components

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    BSME is not needed. An engineer is fine but its a designer role. 60% creo...40% BOMs, Doc. 3+years exp. with CREO, bill of material, Windchill, Change Management, Product customization experience a plus

    Education:

    2 year referred

     

    5+ years creo, windchill

     

    ETO - special order - customization experience a must.

     

    - Large manufacturing assembly - Heavy industrial

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $50.00/hr.
