Job Title: Embedded Software EngineerJob Description
This role involves supporting the design, development, and implementation of real-time processing solutions in software for advanced multi-function Radar systems. You will collaborate with fellow researchers and engineers on multi-disciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions related to exploration and demonstration of Radar and EW/RF convergence.
Responsibilities
+ Lead development programs through the Systems Engineering process using Model-Based Systems Engineering approaches that support DoD Digital Engineering goals.
+ Implement rigorous Model-Based Systems Engineering approaches using SysML in MagicDraw.
+ Work closely with domain experts and software development teams to realize program designs and digital engineering goals.
+ Implement traceability between model content and domain-specific analysis tools and simulation.
+ Design and implement digital signal processing over the complete signal processing chain for radar applications in various operational environments.
Essential Skills
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance.
+ Minimum of 2 years experience working with SysML models in MagicDraw (or similar tool).
+ Experience working with software-intensive systems and open architecture.
+ Proficiency in C/C++ or Python.
+ Agile software development experience.
+ Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and effective communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ MS or PhD in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related technical field.
+ Domain expertise in areas such as Radar, Electronic Warfare, Acoustic, Sensor Resource Management, Sea/Air/Space, Large-Scale Platform Test Systems, Cyber Physical Systems, Open System Architectures (UCI, OMS, COARPS).
+ Familiarity with specific government open architectures (e.g., Open Mission Systems).
+ Experience with the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration and Modeling (AFSIM).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52.00 - $65.00/hr.
