    Job Title: Controls Engineering Specialist

    Job Description

    The Controls Engineering Specialist will design and develop control programs for electro-mechanical and electronic control refrigeration systems. This role involves reading project wiring diagrams and I/O to develop Refrigeration Rack Control programs, reviewing hardware and instrumentation schematics, and assisting engineers in writing sequences of operations for the control programs.

    Responsibilities

    + Assist production team with as-built changes.

    + Communicate effectively with engineers, field service technicians, and customers during start-up and operation.

    + Troubleshoot with field service technicians and customers to diagnose field deviations.

    + Direct and coordinate manufacturing activities through engineering to ensure products and systems conform to design and customer specifications.

    + Communicate with production personnel to build systems according to specifications.

    + Resolve customer issues or difficulties in a manner consistent with the company mission, values, and financial objectives.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in automation, refrigeration, PLC programming, troubleshooting, electrical controls, and engineering.

    + 3-5 years of experience in programming CPC's, PLC's, and HMI's with complete systems integration.

    + Experience with electrical panel layout, schematic design, ladder logic programming, and system testing and troubleshooting.

    + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

    + Strong working knowledge of refrigeration system circuit design.

    + Familiarity with electrical control panel design with field experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred, but equivalent HVACR experience is also considered.

    + 5 years of refrigeration systems knowledge and experience required.

    + Experience in quoting, sales, and/or B2B customer interaction is a plus.

    + Knowledge of natural refrigerants such as CO2 and Ammonia is desired.

    + Interest and desire to learn the refrigeration industry for junior-level candidates.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
