Seeking a Substation P&C Designer/Engineer to join our Substation Engineering team.

The Substation P&C Engineer serves as an engineer, NOT LEAD, on electric substation design projects for high-voltage utility systems and renewable energy interconnection projects.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Performs all aspects of design for high voltage (4kV – 230kV) and EHV (above 230kV) substation projects.

+ Development of One-line diagrams,Three-line diagrams, Potential and current schematics, Control schematics, Alarm schematics, Communications schematics, Wiring Diagrams

+ Work seamlessly with a P&C Designer to develop the above listed schematics as well as the associated wiring diagrams.

+ Serves as a technical specialist for system protection and communication and has knowledge and skillset to provide consultation and guidance to project teams.

Qualifications Include:

+ Protection and control specifications (Preferred)

+ I/O mapping (Preferred)

+ Points mapping (Preferred)

+ Relay settings (Preferred)

+ Documentation for Design Calculations

+ Construction Documentation (Sequence and RFP)

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Required Qualifications

+ Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (ABET-Accredited)

+ 3+ Years direct Substation P&C Design Engineering experience

+ AutoCAD and/or Microstation Experience

+ SDS (Substation Design Suite) Experience preferred

+ Strong familiarity with the NEC and National Electrical Safety Code

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
