Job Title: BAS Engineer - Local San Antonio Travel - Building Automation
Job Description
As a BAS- Field Engineer you will play a vital role in resolving complex system issues while guiding others in problem-solving strategies. You will serve as the primary technical contact, offering both onsite and remote coaching to address challenges effectively. Your responsibilities will include conducting system maintenance on field controllers, servers, workstations, and associated hardware.
Responsibilities
+ Identify and communicate technical issues, recommending necessary upgrades, enhancements, or repairs.
+ Monitor equipment schedules and suggest modifications to optimize performance.
+ Oversee assigned tasks to ensure timely completion while exceeding customer quality expectations.
+ Maintain clear documentation and provide status updates to customers throughout the project.
+ Deliver customized training to owners and operators, ensuring a smooth transition for system upgrades and service improvements.
Essential Skills
+ Advanced expertise in TCP/IP networks, including wireless technologies.
+ Skilled at explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience in a clear and accessible manner.
+ Proficient in navigating and integrating various building automation systems.
+ Ability to interpret and understand Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical blueprints.
+ Experience in managing multiple simultaneous challenges across various disciplines.
+ Highly proficient in Microsoft 365 applications.
+ Ability to download, analyze, and troubleshoot complex HVAC and building automation system logic.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s or Associate degree, Technical/Business School Certificate, or Diploma in HVAC, Controls, or a related field.
Work Environment
The role involves working with automation, HVAC, building automation, Building Automation Controls, or BMS systems, and requires proficiency in TCP/IP, mechanical blueprints, PLC programming, boilers, and chiller
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
