Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Entry Level Industrial Tech 1-2years exp)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot and repair defective equipment, specifically focusing on electrical control systems associated with industrial machinery. This role involves collaborating with fellow maintenance personnel and contract integrator/engineers in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment. The technician will install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain both AC and DC drives and motors. Additionally, troubleshooting Programmable Logic Controls via maintenance software using a laptop computer is required.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot and repair defective equipment.

+ Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical control systems associated with industrial machinery.

+ Assist fellow maintenance personnel and contract integrator/engineers in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment.

+ Install, program, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC drives.

+ Install, troubleshoot, and maintain AC and DC motors.

+ Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controls via maintenance software using a laptop computer.

Essential Skills

+ Ability to troubleshoot 3 phase motors.

+ Experience with electronics, specifically replacing motor/gear boxes up to 480V.

+ Skill in troubleshooting and calibrating photo eyes and sensors.

+ Experience with preventative maintenance.

+ Knowledge of electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience preferred.

+ Solid mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn.

+ Self-starter with the ability to work independently.

Work Environment

Work primarily takes place in a press room which is not climate controlled, but efforts are underway to install air conditioning. The facility includes 10 technicians specializing in various areas like facilities, shift techs, and electricians. The position follows a rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, allowing for a three-day weekend every other weekend.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sandston, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50000.00 - $62000.00/yr.
