Job Title: HVAC Supervisor
Job Description
The HVAC Supervisor will perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of commercial air conditioning and multi-zone heating and cooling systems incorporating pneumatic, digital, and central energy management system controls. The role includes supervising HVAC mechanics, logging work orders into the computerized controls management system (CCMS), and optimizing building control systems for better usage.
Responsibilities
+ Troubleshoot and repair building control systems; optimize controls and equipment for better usage.
+ Install, replace, or repair HVAC equipment, including calibrating thermostatic controls and replacing worn parts.
+ Assist with construction projects affecting HVAC equipment or systems.
+ Repair or replace low- and high-pressure liquid lines.
+ Assemble and install metal ductwork.
+ Develop modification plans for heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems.
+ Create and maintain preventive maintenance checklists for equipment.
+ Catalogue HVAC systems by building or campus, including equipment type, manufacturer, serial number, capacity, and installation date.
+ Interpret as-built building blueprints and recommend system modifications.
+ Research and propose materials for HVAC systems repair and maintenance.
+ Test HVAC and refrigeration for efficiency.
+ Install, connect, and adjust thermostats, timers, and related components.
+ Braze or solder parts to repair defective joints and leaks.
+ Perform mechanical overhauls and refrigerant reclaiming.
+ Maintain campus air handling equipment, chillers, ice systems, cooling towers, compressor systems, and HVAC control systems.
Essential Skills
+ Universal EPA Certification
+ Journeyman level HVAC licensure
+ Five years of experience in HVCR repair and maintenance for large building applications or commercial HVAC systems
+ Tennessee Certification as a licensed HVAC mechanic and/or refrigeration technician
+ Degree/certification from an accredited college of technology specializing in air conditioning, heating, and refrigeration
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Master mechanical maintenance experience
+ Refrigeration maintenance experience
+ Chiller maintenance experience

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54464.00 - $65364.00/yr.
