Job Title: Manufacturing Manager
Job Description
The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production output. This leadership role drives continuous improvement, ensures compliance with all safety and quality standards (e.g., AS9100), and fosters collaboration across departments to deliver superior products and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
+ Lead, mentor, and manage production team members across multiple shifts and disciplines.
+ Maintain staffing levels, conduct performance reviews, and support employee development plans.
+ Promote a culture of accountability, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
+ Ensure all manufacturing employees complete required training (compliance, safety, technical).
+ Manage all aspects of the production process to ensure quality, timeliness, and cost-efficiency.
+ Collaborate with industrial engineering to implement lean manufacturing techniques and automation where appropriate.
+ Define and communicate department goals and KPIs aligned with company objectives.
+ Partner with QA and Engineering to optimize product quality and compliance with AS9100 standards.
+ Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and boost productivity.
+ Evaluate and implement updated manufacturing methods, technologies, and best practices.
+ Develop and oversee production schedules to meet delivery targets and minimize bottlenecks.
+ Ensure timely availability of materials, equipment, and labor to support production goals.
+ Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs to minimize machine downtime.
+ Serve as a liaison between manufacturing and sales, purchasing, engineering, and customer support teams.
+ Communicate proactively about material shortages, production delays, and order impacts.
+ Support customer inquiries and visits as needed, ensuring transparency and responsiveness.
+ Develop and manage department budgets and resource planning.
+ Recommend capital investments in equipment or staffing to improve efficiency and output.
Essential Skills
+ 7–10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing management, ideally in electronics or connector systems.
+ Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, quality systems (AS9100), and ERP tools.
+ Proven ability to lead teams in high-mix, low-to-mid-volume environments.
+ Technical aptitude with production machinery, troubleshooting, and process control.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing software (ERP/MRP systems).

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
