    Forklift Mechanic

     

    _Aerotek is currently hiring for an experienced Forklift Mechanic in the Baltimore area!_

     

    We are seeking a Heavy Duty Preventative Maintenance Mechanic for our busy mechanic shop. The role involves maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, front loaders, and other machinery. This will include basic repair knowledge and troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, power train, and pneumatic systems.

    Responsibilities

    + Maintain and repair heavy-duty equipment, including forklifts, dozers, and front loaders.

    + Diagnose and repair a wide variety of mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment.

    + Read and interpret specifications and manuals.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment.

    Essential Skills/Experience:

    + Experience as a Diesel Mechanic.

    + Experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.

    + Experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics.

    + Experience working on Diesel Forklifts

    + Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, diesel, and electrical equipment.

    **This is a mixture of working both indoors and outdoors throughout the year.** You must be comfortable working in hot summer and cold winter conditions, both indoors and outdoors. Hours are typically **Monday through Friday, 7am - 4pm** , with some overtime available. Reliability is crucial, especially during inclement weather when we supply salt for road clearing.
