    Roles and Responsibilities:

    + Clean New Jersey Transit’s railcars (exterior and interior) and components thoroughly

    + Clean work areas around railcars and at New Jersey Transit’s properties as assigned

    + Read and follow instructions and safety information as necessary for proper and safe completion of assigned tasks

    + Provide exceptional customer service

    + Maintain a safe and clean work environment

    Education, Experience & Qualifications:

    + Pass NJ Transit’s Aptitude Test.

    + Work effectively in all weather conditions.

    + Demonstrate the ability to communicate well with others at all levels.

    + Possess the ability to adapt in a changing environment.

    + Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

    + Work as a team member and independently.

    + Successfully pass background, drug screening and physical.

    + Present a valid high school diploma or GED.

    + WORK LOCATION varies from Port Jervis, NY, Spring Valley, NY

    PreferredKnowledge and Skills:

    + Prior warehouse or shipping/receiving experience.

    + Prior operation of forklift and/or other heavy equipment.

    + Prior experience with heavy labor.

    + Mechanically inclined.
