UC Health is hiring a full-time Clinical Staff Pharmacist for the Medication Access Services department in Pharmacy Administration. We are offering a $20,000 sign on bonus!

Under the supervision of the Manager of Medication Access Services, the Clinical Staff Pharmacists fills orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies, provide drug information, and supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager or supervisor, a clinical staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager. Services to patients receiving care under the medical direction of a general or specialty department, division, or service, regardless of the physical location of the patient within the hospital or ambulatory clinics. The pharmacist coordinates these clinical services with other health care practitioners and patients through direct and indirect patient care activities and education, as needed within the specialty area. The pharmacist also collaborates with other members of the pharmacy and the interdisciplinary team to resolve problems related to drug distribution that occur in their assigned clinics or patient care team(s)/service(s). The pharmacist works to achieve desired patient-centered outcomes through supporting the provision of safe, cost-effective, evidence-based medication therapy.

The Medication Access Services team facilitates compliance with medications prescribed by breaking down barriers to access, including prior authorizations, for patients across UC Health. Pharmacists work within the Medication Access Services Department and across other pharmacy and inter-professional teams to facilitate patient care and optimize medication regimens.
