Title: Director Corporate Pricing
Department : Finance/Accounting

Position Summary:
The Director of Pricing is responsible for developing and executing pricing strategies that maximize revenue, profitability, and competitive positioning in the fuel and chemical transportation industry. This role collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Finance, and Customer Service to ensure pricing decisions align with the company’s strategic and financial goals.
Essential Job Functions :
+ Promote safety in all actions.
+ Develop and manage pricing strategies for new and existing customers across all service lines, ensuring profitability while remaining competitive.
+ Conduct detailed margin analysis, lane-level costing, and market intelligence assessments to inform pricing decisions.
+ Partner with Sales and Business Development to evaluate and respond to RFPs, bid packages, and spot quote opportunities.
+ Monitor market trends, competitor pricing, customer behaviors, and regulatory impacts within the fuel and chemical transportation sectors.
+ Lead the pricing governance process to ensure standardized pricing practices, discounting policies, and approval protocols are followed.
+ Implement dynamic pricing models using historical data, cost modeling, and predictive analytics to support data-driven decisions.
+ Oversee pricing systems and tools, including TMS (Transportation Management Systems), CRM, and contract management platforms.
+ Track and report on key pricing KPIs and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
+ Drive continuous improvement in pricing processes and strategies through technology, automation, and analytics.
+ Coordinate and report all pricing information for both internal and external customers.
+ Communicate all rate increases, changes, and updates to both internal and external customers.
+ Evaluate and prepare bids for all customer transportation proposals.
+ Proof, review, and complete all carrier contracts and questionnaires.
+ Facilitate all rate and customer changes or set up information between the Pricing Department.
+ Streamline both internal and external software updates and changes for the Pricing Department.
+ Manage all functions of the Pricing Analyst and Rate Coordinator.
Additional Responsibilities:
+ Carries out duties assigned by CFO as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications for Consideration :
+ Business Degree or equivalent experience in Supply Chain Management
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Knowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standards
+ Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
+ Self-starter with detail-oriented work habits
+ Able to maintain confidentiality
+ Display professional demeanor
+ Good interpersonal skills; able to work well with a wide range of individuals
+ Demonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedules
+ Basic computer skills
+ Knowledge of basic company employment policies and procedures
Preferred Attributes:
+ Industry certifications such as CLTD, CTL, and PMP.
+ Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards (DOT, PHMSA, EPA) affecting fuel and chemical transport.
+ Ability to manage ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Physical Requirements:
+ Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, and talking, hearing and visual activity.
+ Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds).
Working Conditions:
+ Normal office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copier/printer/scanners.
