    About Richmond Community Services:

    Richmond Community Services supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to live with dignity, choice, and inclusion. We provide a wide range of residential, clinical, and community-based services to promote independence and well-being.

    Position Overview:

    Richmond Community Services is seeking motivated Summer Interns to support a variety of departments across the organization. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in nonprofit operations while contributing to work that directly supports individuals and families in our community.

    Departmental Assignments Include:

    + Finance: Assist with clerical accounting tasks such as data entry and reporting

    + Human Resources: Support filing systems and help update job descriptions

    + Quality: Assist with life plan documentation, policy organization, and electronic medical records (EMR) system support

    + Information Technology (IT): Provide general IT support, including hardware and software troubleshooting

    + Operations: Assist with record retention projects, including organizing, filing, and digitizing documentation in compliance with organizational standards

    + Administration: Support document and record clean-up efforts, including reviewing, organizing, and archiving administrative files

    Ideal Candidate:

    + Current undergraduate or graduate student (or recent graduate) in a relevant field (e.g., business, HR, IT, nonprofit management, healthcare administration)

    + Detail-oriented and organized, with strong communication skills

    + Able to work independently and take initiative

    + Interested in disability services and nonprofit operations

    + Proficient in Microsoft Office
