    Job Description:

    This job is responsible for leading a group of team leaders and employees who develop strategies and drive analytics to understand portfolio risk, increase profitability, and optimize operational performance. Key responsibilities include setting strategic priorities for the team, identifying trends, and leading efforts to maximize risk versus return for the business unit. Job expectations include using data and analytics to solve complex problems, coaching employees, and partnering across technology, product, and risk leadership to drive performance.

     

    We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Business Intelligence Manager to lead the reporting and analytic functions for the Operational Performance lines of business. This role will be responsible for overseeing the development, standardization, and delivery of reporting solutions to provide actionable insights that drive business decisions.

    Responsibilities:

    + Develop/execute the reporting strategy and align with business objectives as well as lead the design, development, and maintenance of reporting dashboards, scorecards, and key performance indicators (KPIs).

    + Lead, mentor, and grow a high performing team of Business Intelligence developers fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

    + Collaborate with senior leaders and cross functional teams to define reporting requirements and strategies, and ensure accurate and timely delivery of reports to senior executives and key stakeholders.

    + Provide leadership in the design development, and delivery of scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and reports, and drive automation and optimization of reporting processes to increase efficiency.

    + Be positive, highly motivated, innovative, self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to create and execute plans with little oversight.

    + Clearly articulate output and demonstrate reporting functionalities to all levels of Management as well as oversee the data integrity, security, and quality of reports and analytic output.

    + Establishes department-wide strategies and oversees portfolio trend analysis, forecasting, and risk/control performance

    + Leads innovation by identifying and championing large scale initiatives that improve the risk management, profitability, and control oversight of risks for the business unit

    + Identifies business trends based on economic and portfolio conditions and communicates findings to senior management

    + Coaches employees on best practices for structuring complex problems, performing analysis, and communicating the results and implications of their work and builds and maintains strategic relationships with peers and counterparts across product, technology, and business control functions

    Managerial Responsibilities:

    + Driver of Business Outcomes: Delivers results by effectively prioritizing, inspecting and appropriately delegating team work.

    Required Qualifications:

    + 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or related field, including at least 4 years in a leadership / people manager role.

    + Proven track record of building and managing high performing BI teams

    + Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Power BI

    + Proficient in SAS/SQL with hands on experience querying and analyzing large data sets

    + Proven ability to translate complex data insights into actionable business recommendations

    + Ability to manage varied set of priorities, both planned and ad-hoc, and adapt within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. High level of multi-tasking with focus and oversight on requests across the team

    + Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, documentation, and presentation skills

    + Ability to communicate and interact with a high degree of professionalism with executive level personnel across the business

    + Innovative mindset with the ability to challenge the status quo

    + Ability to proactively identify, analyze, and improve upon existing processes for optimization

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in business, data analytics, computer science, or related field.

    + Cutting-edge visualization and storytelling with data.

    + Experience with Alteryx, Hadoop, Impala, HIVE SQL, SQL server stored procedures

    + Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred)
