Description of Work Unit
Provides landscaping services, care, renovation, repair and maintenance of all grounds at Colorado State University.
Position Summary
Position performs landscape maintenance services, plant material maintenance
to provide a safe and clean environment in assigned areas.
Position will maintain grass, shrubs, trees, other plant material and beds including mowing, string trimming, shrub pruning, planting bed maintenance. Position will also be responsible for Identifying disease, insect infestation and need for pruning or thinning of plant material; Recommends and carries out remedies to include mixing and applying herbicide/insecticide, ensuring proper pruning or removal of plant material.
ldentifies problem areas in landscape design of past practices and recommends design changes or proper steps to rejuvenate.
Minimum Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must demonstrate in the application materials:
Two (2) years of progressively responsible commercial grounds care and maintenance experience which includes fixing, repairing, and replacing sprinklers and irrigation systems as well as mixing and applying herbicides and pesticides
