CSCP’s vision is to empower customers to achieve more by delivering Cloud Capacity Differentiated at Scale. Our mission is to deliver capacity for all cloud services predictably through intelligent systems driven by continuous learning and a world class organization. The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. Our infrastructure is comprised of a large global portfolio of more than 200 datacenters supporting services for more than 1 billion customers in over 90 countries worldwide.

Our team's core goals are to improve integration with partner teams to enable enhanced planning decisions, to help drive supply chain agility with reduced cycle time, and to deliver an optimized capacity plan to our partners downstream. We are looking for a skilled software engineer with a passion to solve complex business problems. You will help us deliver highly scalable services and world-class product experiences. Responsibilities

+ Contribute to a high functioning feature team.

+ Collaborate closely with multiple teams across Microsoft to deliver key planning solutions and the technology to support them.

+ Contribute to the design and implementation of future architecture for a highly scalable, durable, and low latency capacity planning system.

+ Help gather, define, cost, and implement engineering deliverables.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python

+ OR equivalent experience.

+ 2+ years of experience with cloud development, Azure, AWS, or equivalent experience.

+ 2+ years of experience with large scale distributed systems on Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent experience.

Other Requirements:

+ Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Ability to quickly pick up existing concepts and employ new techniques.

+ Proven problem solving and communication skills.

+ Solid track-record of working with partner teams and managing dependencies.

+ Experience in Supply Chain is not required but is desirable.

+ Proven problem solving and communication skills working on problems with complex, ambiguous requirements.

Software Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $117,200 - $229,200 per year.

There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $153,600 - $250,200 per year.
