The Role -
Amphenol Aerospace Operations is seeking aProcess Technician (Molding)to work out of its state-of-the-art facility inSidney, NY.
The successful candidate will support all products produced in the Molding Department; this includes setup, start-up, operation and troubleshooting of molding machines and post-molding operations.
The key responsibilities of aProcess Technician (Molding)include, but are not limited to:
+ Daily manufacturing floor support
+ Machine setup and startup assistance as needed
+ Process troubleshooting to ensure quality product
+ Trains operators to run/build good quality parts
+ Provides updates to Process Engineering on manufacturing work instructions
+ Supports initiatives and trainings for corrective actions
+ Provides quality and technical support to internal and external customers
+ Assists with molding equipment PM schedules and general machine support
+ Creates and submits purchasing requisitions for tooling and supplies
+ Continuous improvement and cost reduction activities
+ Mold approval samples and packet routing management
Salary: $50,000 - $75,000

+ 20 Minute Drive from Oneonta, NY
The Person -
The key skills and qualities of aProcess Technician (Molding)at Amphenol Aerospace Operations:
+ Technical or associates degree is a plus
+ Must have knowledge of molding, machining or assembly best practices across multiple platforms
+ Scientific/decoupled molding experience preferred
+ Familiarity with technical drawings and precision measurement devices
+ Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, Excel experience is a plus
+ Working knowledge of mold preventative maintenance requirements
+ Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and/or walking
+ Computer usage from 1 to 8 hours/day
+ Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
+ Must be able to multitask and work with minimal supervision and lead teams
+ Participates in projects for all aspects of the connector business
+ Confidentiality
+ Excellent oral and written skills
