    CTG is seeking to fill a Mechanical Planner III, Nuclear opening for our client in Richland, WA.

     

    **Location:** Richland, WA

    **Duration:** 12 months

    Description:

    Plan and prepare mechanical work packages for the Nuclear Projects organization for large- and small-scale projects to be performed by mechanical and contract maintenance organizations to ensure that the plant projects are performed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner, in compliance with company policies, procedures, and applicable codes and standards.

    Duties:

    + Develop and prepare detailed work instructions and mechanical work packages for maintenance and modification projects

    + Conduct field walkdowns to analyze maintenance, surveillance, and modification needs and enhance work package quality

    + Specify and approve materials, tools, and equipment needed for work execution and initiate procurement processes

    + Interface with departments such as Work Management, Supply, Operations, and Engineering to resolve work planning issues

    + Prepare and/or submit required permits and documentation including OOSs, RWPs, fire impairments, ALARA plans, regulatory/code documents, and quality control requirements

    + Ensure compliance with all applicable station procedures, including NSPs, NSWPs, and ASME codes

    + Review and approve completed work packages for accuracy, safety, and technical completeness

    + Develop, revise, and review maintenance procedures to ensure alignment with codes, standards, and vendor guidance

    + Provide project leadership to system planners or contractors involved in work package development

    + Participate in scheduling meetings, troubleshooting efforts, risk assessments, and clearance reviews

    Skills:

    _Required:_

    + Effective written and verbal communication skills

    + Strong computer literacy and proficiency in planning software

    + Technical problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

    + Ability to obtain Planner I qualification

    + Knowledge of nuclear plant planning processes and safety regulations

    + Understanding of ALARA principles and nuclear security requirements

    _Desired:_

    + Time management and work prioritization capabilities

    + Strong customer relationship and interpersonal skills

    + Strategic thinking and decision-making based on business needs

    + Goal-oriented mindset with the ability to measure performance

    + Proficiency in technical report writing and analysis

    + Ability to improve and streamline work processes

    Experience:

    _Required:_

    + Minimum of six years of technical experience in maintenance, engineering, operations, or maintenance planning, based on the following educational qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree: minimum six years of relevant experience

    + Associate degree: minimum eight years of relevant experience

    + High school diploma/GED with technical training: minimum six years of relevant experience

    + High school diploma/GED without technical training: minimum ten years of relevant experience

    + Equivalent educational experience may substitute year-for-year for work experience

    _Desired:_

    + At least two years of experience in a nuclear environment is highly preferred

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree, Associate degree, or High School diploma/GED with appropriate technical training or experience as outlined above

    The expected base salary for this position ranges from $98,000 to $150,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
