APPROXIMATE ANNUAL SALARY - $87,570.72 to $131,711.04 PAY GRADE: 42
The salary range indicated in this announcement is based on the Employee/Employer retirement compensation schedule. An employer-only option is available at a reduced salary range. Generally, salaries start at the lowest level of a step 1 and increase with each year of service to the highest level of a step 10.

The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Computer Operations, Systems and Network Administration: Under administrative direction, incumbents perform IT Operations a preponderance of the time to include serving as the project leader; planning, organizing, and directing project activities; resolving design conflicts; network administration; resource allocation; contract negotiation; timeline development; critical path tracking; justifying the need for additional resources; and coordinating activities with other work units within and outside the organization as assigned. Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency. The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Professional IV to join our Information Services team located in Carson City, Las Vegas, or Reno, Nevada. In this role, the incumbent will serve as the Supervisor and/or IT Operations/Systems/Network Manager responsible for leading teams overseeing Helpdesk, Computer Operations, PC Support, Server Configuration, Network and Cloud Administration.
The Nevada DIVISION OF CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES (DCFS) is seeking to fill an IT Professional 4 to join our Information Services team located in Carson City, Las Vegas, or Reno. The purpose of this position is to manage IT Infrastructure which includes manage IT projects for the division. The position will have oversight on all project delivery, project priority recommendations to Stakeholders and decisions to identify issues and risk to the Release Management Board, Resource allocation across multiple teams and determinations related to the time sensitive deployments. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computerscience, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experiencerelevant to the duties of the position which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, two years of which were at the advanced journey level or in a supervisory or project management capacity; OR Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and five years of professional IT experience which may include systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, relevant to the duties of the position, two years of which were at the journey level in information security; OR two years of relevant experience as an IT Professional III in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.
