    Amergis Educational Staffing is actively hiring a Sign Language Interpreter in Winston-Salem, NC to join our team and make a positive impact in student lives. Details of the position listed below:

     

    Position: Sign Language Interpreter

     

    Pay Rate (Local): $42 -44 Per Hour

     

    Total Travel Package: $1,902.00/week

     

    *Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for travel package*

    + Taxable Wages = $656.25/week

    + Weekly Housing Allowance = $770/week

    + Weekly Meals & Incidentals Allowance = $476/week

    Details:

    + Start date: August 2025

    + Contract Length: 2025 - 26 School Year, potential to extend

    + Flexible to work with students of all grade levels

    + 1:1 services

    + Monthly PD offered

    + Strong support team in place with a Lead Interpreter, Lead DHH Teacher, and Director

    Requirements:

    + Associate’s degree in interpreting or a related field and must meet 20 hours of professional learning related to interpreting/transliterating annually

    + Educational Interpreter I

    + Score of 3.3 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA)or a TEC Unit score of a level 2 for cued language transliterator

    + Educational Interpreter II

    + Score of 3.5 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 for cued language transliterator

    + Educational Interpreter III

    + Score 4.0 on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 or, may hold a national certification

    + Experience working in an educational setting
