Job Description
As an intern In in the Technical Operations/Compliance group you will join a full-time on-site team in converting and supporting conversion to a joint Manufacturing Execution and Quality software that supports the production of high reliability electronics system. You will have an opportunity to work and collaborate with other interns as well as Senior Engineers to prepare detailed instructions used to build complex assemblies. After you master the system architecture and functionality, you will additionally have the opportunity to assist and coach the manufacting staff on correct operations of this software system and troubleshoot real time issues that may arise.
In this position, you will participate in BAE Systems' nationwide LEAP Internship & Co-op Program, where you will Learn, Engage, Apply, and Progress within the company. The LEAP Program will provide you with the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals on impactful projects, engage in career development opportunities, and network with our business leaders and the other students in the program.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience reading and using technical drawings, process sheets and change orders as well as authoring clear, accurate instructions.
Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating and presenting to internal personnel.
Desire to work independently and in teams and be effective in fast paced environment which is fully on site.
Experience instructing older students and/or adults.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and lab and familiarity with metal fabrication processes.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Four-year Engineering Technology or Engineering degree in Manufacturing , Mechanical or related Engr field.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $64272 - $86767
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
