• Software Developer

    ManTech (Lexington Park, MD)


    ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Software Developer** to join our team in **Lexington Park, MD** . This is an **onsite** position.

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs

    + Conducting analysis of user needs and developing solutions by applying computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis techniques

    + Updating software and enhancing existing software capabilities

    + Working with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.

    + Maintaining databases within an application area

    + Working individually and in coordination with the database development group as a team

    + May be responsible for oversight of lower-level developers

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Master's degree in Computer Science or an IT-related discipline and 10 years of experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.

    + Experience working with one or more of the following programming languages: C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, Structured Query Language (SQL) and/or Python.

    + Experience utilizing Microsoft products, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Word

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience developing and/or updating software associated with Navy weapons.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have an active and current Secret clearance.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Tasking is primarily computer based.

    + The person in this position must be able to operate and perform tasking on a PC.

    + Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers, customers, and management through email, phone, and other virtual communication methods.
