Position Summary:
The Director, Project Management at our St Louis site supports Biologics customers, balancing customer expectations and Thermo Fisher’s business needs. This role will elevate project management through talent development and acquisition. Join Thermo Fisher Scientific and partner with leaders to enable customer success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage customer project aspects including communications, financials, scopes of work, timelines, risk analysis, governance, and conflict resolution.
- Build and drive growth and governance strategy with clients, ensuring strong business relationships.
- Coordinate project management methodology with site General Manager, Finance, and other leadership to support the annual plan, collaborating with financial staff for accurate time reporting, timelines, monthly revenue review, and scope of service.
- Advocate client centricity and best practices to improve operational performance, ensuring governance models, customer dashboards, costing, risk mitigation strategies, etc., are in place.
- Partner with site and business unit leadership to develop strategic priorities, refine processes, and improve project management capabilities, building meaningful objectives and facilitating career planning for team members.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical development or manufacturing. 5+ years in commercial strategy, business management, project management, supply chain, sales, or marketing with client-facing responsibilities.
- Expert project management leader with a proven record in a matrixed organization.
- Able to balance multiple priorities and respond to change.
- Establish trust with clients and colleagues.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- BS/Masters Degree or Ph.D. in life sciences. M.B.A. is desirable.
