    Job Details:

    The Revenue Cycle Analyst is responsible for analyzing financial and operational data to improve revenue cycle performance, ensure compliance, and enhance vendor management strategies. This role requires strong SQL skills to extract and manipulate data from various systems, providing insights that drive decision-making.

    Responsibilities:

    + Data Analysis & Reporting:

    + Collect and analyze billing, reimbursement, and financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.

    + Prepare reports on payment performance, denial trends, and revenue cycle metrics.

    + Assist leadership in evaluating revenue cycle performance through detailed financial analysis.

    + Vendor Management:

    + Collaborate with external vendors to ensure adherence to contract terms and performance expectations.

    + Monitor vendor effectiveness in areas such as insurance follow-up, self-pay collections, and zero-balance reviews.

    + Address discrepancies, track vendor placements, and provide performance insights to leadership.

    + Process Optimization & Compliance:

    + Work closely with internal teams to streamline revenue cycle workflows and reduce errors.

    + Ensure compliance with federal and state healthcare regulations, payer policies, and hospital guidelines.

    + Support revenue integrity initiatives by auditing patient accounts, charge capture, and billing processes.

    + Training & Support:

    + Assist with system implementations and process enhancements related to revenue cycle operations.

    + Provide guidance to team members on best practices, reporting tools, and revenue cycle functions.

    + Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications/Requirements:

    Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in revenue cycle management, healthcare billing, vendor management, or financial analysis required. Experience with electronic health record systems (e.g., Cerner, Epic) and auditing hospital charging/patient records preferred.

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, Information Technology/Analytics, or a related field required.

     

    Licenses / Certifications: N/A

     

    Other: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

     

    Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and data visualization software.

     

    Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal teams and external vendors.

     

    Understanding of healthcare billing, reimbursement methodologies, and revenue cycle best practices.
