UPMC St. Margaret is hiring a flex full-time evening shift Pharmacist to support our Inpatient Pharmacy.

This position will work 7 shifts on during the evening shift (2:30 PM -11:00 PM), and 7 shifts off. The 7-day stretch starts and ends on Thursday. Holidays are worked if they fall during the scheduled work week. You will have two weekends off per month. You may be flexed up to 80 hours per pay and/or the hours are subject to change based on the business needs of the department.

_The Pharmacist is an important step on our NEW Pharmacist career ladder. The Final candidate will be placed in the appropriate job title and salary structure based on experience, education, and certifications._

Responsibilities:

+ Prepare, calculate, and dispense medications for inpatient/outpatient care in compliance with regulations.

+ Identify and report adverse drug reactions; promote rational drug therapy and sustain the formulary.

+ Review patient records for allergies, interactions, and duplications; verify medication orders.

+ Supervise pharmacy technicians, aides, and interns; organize daily operations.

+ Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify orders and provide drug information.

+ Adhere to regulatory standards and hospital policies; deliver pharmaceutical care.

+ Utilize technology for prescription orders and sterile IV preparation using aseptic techniques.

+ Educate healthcare professionals and pharmacy students via programs and drug information resources.

+ Other duties as assigned

+ Graduate of an ACPE accredited College of Pharmacy

+ B.S in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree

+ Required: Current licensure as a Pharmacist in practicing state

+ Entry Level, no previous experience required; pharmacist experience preferred. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
