    We’re looking for an amazing Principal Software Delivery Lead to fill this role. You’ll be responsible for delivering new and enhanced technology solutions across the Fleet and Business Operations technology teams. This role will oversee projects across the Holland America Line and Seabourn and HAP Alaska Brands, including business applications that are used by multiple brands including Princess. This role emphasizes project management and reporting skills, working closely with business analysts and scrum masters responsible for supporting various business software and Fleet technology initiatives. The individual collaborates with cross-functional business teams to define and deliver against product development and other technology roadmaps. They drive automation where applicable and reporting aligned with strategic business priorities, coordinate with teams responsible for gathering requirements and implementing solutions working closely with business leaders and technology teams to address queries and ensure timely program delivery to meet business goals. The role will continually be responsible for improving Security and Compliance footprint, collaborate closely with corporate security to uphold software and application security protocols and standards.

    Responsibilities

    + Directing in daily decision-making and acts as a crucial link between business teams, product owners and managers, and IT technical teams and stakeholders.

    + Employ a blend of business acumen and technical expertise to ensure clarity on project financials, delivery expectations, and scope alignment in the context of delivering complex business applications and third-party software and respective platforms.

    + This role entails oversight of multiple functional areas, conducting business analysis, and leveraging deep knowledge of software and data center of excellence practices implemented by their leadership team.

    + Managing project timelines, budgets, and quality standards with proactive risk mitigation, and adherence to robust project management methodologies.

    + Concurrently, the role also manages resources effectively, this includes optimizing resource use to align with business goals and controlling expenditures while ensuring high-quality project outcomes.

    + Leads and manages a team of business analysts and scrum masters resposible for business applications and Fleet technology. Leadership of the team includes setting clear expectations, offering constructive feedback, and nurturing professional growth.

    + Monitoring team performance, resolving conflicts, and fostering cross-departmental collaboration are crucial for aligning project priorities with organizational goals.

    + Promoting continuous improvement to drive successful projects execution and ensures the team contributes effectively to achieving business objectives in the realm of business application and fleet technology solutions.

    + Managing and leading stakeholder engagement and communication ensuring project success and alignment across business leadership, product owners, and IT technical teams.

    + Maintaining regular and clear communication channels to facilitate understanding and consensus on project goals, priorities, and expectations.

    + Actively engaging with stakeholders, gathers comprehensive requirements, provides timely updates on project progress, and addresses any emerging challenges or scope changes promptly. Proactive approach to keep business informed with decision-making and advocate for necessary resources and support needed for seamless project execution.

    + Maintaining transparent communication to foster collaboration and ensures that all stakeholders are committed to achieving project milestones and delivering impactful results in the realm of business application software, Fleet Technology.

    + Leading roadmap execution with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to craft and refine detailed roadmaps for business application software, Fleet Technology that align closely with business objectives.

    + Maintain a clear focus on customer needs, ensuring that the product roadmap addresses current challenges.

    + Regularly reviewing and adjusting roadmaps based on feedback to steer product initiatives towards successful delivery, driving meaningful impact and value for the organization and its stakeholders.

    + Process improvement and efficiency with focus on identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance efficiency across Business Application Technology development and Fleet Technology. Analysis of current processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing operational improvements to optimize workflow and resource utilization.

    + Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, aim to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and accelerate project delivery timelines while maintaining high standards of quality and innovation in our technological solutions.

    + Performs other duties as assigned

    Requirements

    + 3+ years of progressive experience in software engineering, software delivery or related fields

    + 3+ years in product management and project management roles

    + Proven track record of at least 5+ years in managing Business application technology product and delivery teams, business analytics, software development teams.

    + Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Business Analysis, Scrum, Lean, DevOps) and modern technologies used in software delivery.

    + Proven track record in product development, helping to design and deliver large-scale websites, mobile applications, marketing technology, and/or enterprise data and software solutions.

    + Strong proficiency in process improvement, project management, and product lifecycle management

    + Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex technology projects.

    + Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making

    + Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners.

    + Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple competing priorities effectively

    + Experience leading and delivering complex technology projects, including budget management and resource allocation

     

    _This position follows the Company’s schedule of three days in the office per week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) with flexibility to work remotely the remainder of the week._

    + Base Salary Range: $133,100 to $179,700. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
