Job Role
**Job Title** : Azure Production Support Engineer

Summary
We are seeking an Azure Production Support Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting IT teams with Azure platform tools and must be available to support UK and North American business hours.
Mandatory Skills
+ AZ-900 and AZ-104 certified (additional Azure certifications are beneficial).
+ Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills in Azure.
+ Self-starter with the ability to lead, facilitate, and manage incidents independently.
+ Proficient in at least one scripting language for automation in Azure.
+ Hands-on experience with Azure and Cloud engineering.
+ Previous experience in an on-call environment supporting Azure infrastructure.
Deep Azure Platform Expertise
+ In-depth knowledge of Azure services and architecture.
+ Understanding of Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
+ Experience with scripting using Azure CLI, Bash, and PowerShell.
+ Experience with Terraform.
+ Incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
+ Azure networking experience: configuring and maintaining virtual networks, subnets, network security groups, Azure ExpressRoute, VPN configurations, load balancers, and application gateways.
+ Working experience with Azure Active Directory, configuring Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
+ Implementing Azure Key Vault and security best practices.
+ Experience with high availability and disaster recovery solutions like Azure Site Recovery and backup solutions.
Responsibilities:
+ Respond to and resolve production incidents and outages.
+ Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and implement preventive measures.
+ Create and maintain scripts (Bash and PowerShell) to manage infrastructure.
+ Create and maintain Terraform scripts.
+ Maintain and optimize Azure infrastructure for production environments.
+ Monitor system health, performance, and security.
+ Implement and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
+ Perform capacity planning and cost optimization.
+ Automate routine tasks and create self-healing systems.
+ Implement and maintain security controls and compliance measures.
+ Collaborate with development teams to improve application performance and scalability.
+ Manage and optimize Azure resource utilization.
+ Stay updated with new Azure features and best practices.
+ Manage and optimize costs through FinOps practices.
+ Assist in the design and implementation of new Azure-based solutions.
+ Document processes, configurations, and system architectures.
+ Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.

Salary Transparency Language

At Capgemini, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role. The base salary range for the tagged location is $86129 - $127189 /yearly.
This role may be eligible for other compensation including variable compensation, bonus, or commission. Full time regular employees are eligible for paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), and any other benefits to eligible employees.
