    Job Description Summary

    The Engine Test Quality Engineer will be responsible for fulfilling quality requirements in the Lynn Engine Test facility. The Quality Engineer will collect and populate data for critical engine records and quality documents. The Quality Engineer will assist in problem-solving test defects and cell down time.

    Roles and Responsibilities

    + Ensure accuracy of engine log sheets and other process documentation. Responsible for all record retention of required documents

    + Complete First Article Inspection documentation for NPI engines, process changes, and requirement changes

    + Use problem solving tools and root cause corrective action analysis to reduce test defects and cell downtime

    + Collaborate with the broader LATO quality team on improving engine quality and reducing defects

    + Assist in investigations related to test quality escapes

    Required Qualifications

    + Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years manufacturing experience

    Desired Characteristics

    + GE Aerospace Preliminary Review (PR) authority

    + Material Review Board (MRB) Quality Chair Authority

    + Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

    + 1-2 years manufacturing experience in the aerospace industry

    + Basic understanding of jet engine operation
