Job Summary:
The Clinic Housekeeper plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors within the healthcare facility. This position is essential in preventing the spread of infections and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Housekeeper will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning tasks, including sanitizing patient rooms, common areas, and medical equipment. By upholding high standards of cleanliness, the Housekeeper contributes to the overall patient experience and supports the healthcare team's ability to provide quality care. Ultimately, this role is crucial in fostering a healthy and hygienic atmosphere that promotes healing and well-being.
Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
+ Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role, preferably in a healthcare setting preferred.
+ Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety protocols preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Certification in infection control or related training.
+ Experience with specialized cleaning equipment and techniques.
+ Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Organizational Expectations:
+ Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of patient rooms, restrooms, and common areas.
+ Ensure proper disposal of waste and hazardous materials in accordance with safety regulations.
+ Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and cleaning products as needed.
+ Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel.
+ Assist in the training of new housekeeping staff on cleaning protocols and safety procedures.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform overhead lifting as needed. Ability to lift and carry items weighing more than 50 lbs.
