    **Shift** :Evenings: 2:30-11pm; Mon-Fri (occasional weekend shift)

    **The community** **you’ll** **be caring for:** 60 MEMORIAL MEDICAL PKWY, Palm Coast, 32164

    The role** **you** **’ll** **contribute** **:

    Responsible for managing assigned selected aspects of laboratory processes or shifts, which may include workflow, quality control process, performance improvement activities, training of new employees, advanced problem solving for customers and coworkers, department equipment or computer maintenance and upgrades, writing/reviewing procedures, or other tasks assigned. Assists department manager with meeting goals in all Extending Excellence areas.

    + Reads, examines, and interprets complex test results

    + Serves as a resource and addresses complex tests/procedures

    + Manages instrument maintenance and troubleshooting practices

    + Leads quality control and quality assurance testing

    + Assists with data collection and special projects, as assigned

    + Assists with department orientation and trains medical laboratory staff

    The** **expertise** **and** **e** **xperiences** **you’ll** **need to succeed** **:

    **Minimum qualifications** :

    + Bachelor's degree in a chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science OR

    + Medical technology field and Five years of clinical laboratory experience OR

    + Master's degree in a chemical, biological or clinical laboratory science or medical technology field and 3 years of clinical laboratory experience

    + Licensure, Certification or Registration Required: Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLSASCP) Medical Technologist (MTAAB) Medical Technologist (MTAMT) Medical Technologist (MTASCP)
