Our Sales Office in Hickory, NC, supports our High Point and Las Vegas showrooms and other Merchandising activities, utilizing vendor partners in the area. Jackson Furniture is our Stationary Living Room Upholstery brand, while Catnapper is our Motion Upholstery brand, featuring Reclining Sofa, Sectional, Recliner, and Lift Chair designs. We do not sell directly to the public but have a network of over 2,000 independently-owned Retailers as well as some of the best-known retail chains across the world.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are currently seeking a Graphic Design and Marketing Assistant to join our team. This position focuses on various marketing and administrative tasks while incorporating some opportunities for graphic design. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and dedicated to supporting our marketing efforts to drive brand awareness and growth.
POSITION DETAILS
• Availability: Immediate
• Schedule
- Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- Flexibility to accommodate occasional evening/weekend events.
• Location
- Hickory, NC office-based with occasional travel for trade shows, showroom events, or photo shoots.

GENERAL TASKS
• Administrative/Project Management
- Develop and manage timelines for marketing projects, including but not limited to:
• Catalog (Print)
• Sales Presentation Folders (Color Print and Swatches)
• Consumer Tear Sheets
Vinyl Banners
• Point of Sale Folio Cards and Swatches
- Track progress to ensure tasks stay on schedule, monitoring for potential delays or issues.
- Organize project files, photos, and media assets for easy access, including upload and data population
of online Image Library
- Update website content, product listings, and imagery
- Coordinate communication with R&D and Merchandising to gather all data for production of Sales
Support Materials for each Market's introductions
- Assist Marketing Director in the setup of all Marketing Materials in the High Point Showroom
• Creative Assistance
- Research trends, inspiration, and competitive visuals to support creative ideation.
- Prepare concept drafts and mock-ups for team presentations.
- Maintain a library of references, props, and creative resources.
• Content Development
- Assist with brainstorming sessions, capturing and organizing key ideas.
- Proofread and edit creative briefs to ensure alignment with project goals.
- Draft initial outlines or ideas for visuals and other content as needed.
• Digital Imagery Support
Jackson Furniture completes 3D Models of all individual items and uses those images to create all silhouettes
detail, vignette, and room scene photography required.
Marketing Assistant responsibilities will include assisting
the Marketing Director to:
- Create a list of all SKUs/Models to be created
- Assemble, package, and ship all fabrics to be scanned
- Capture, organize, and upload all Product Reference Photos
- Work with vendor to complete the Production Timeline
- Manage schedule and monitor progress to ensure all images meet expectations.
- Perform basic editing tasks, such as cropping, retouching, and color correction.
- Create, Organize, and Upload photos upon completion
• Social Media Support - Assist the Social Media Director to:
- Develop and curate engaging content for social media, website, and email campaigns
- Schedule posts, monitor engagement, and respond to inquiries on platforms like Instagram, Pinterest,
Facebook and LinkedIn.
- Create and distribute newsletters and targeted email campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp or HubSpot
- Track and analyze campaign performance metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) and prepare
reports for Management.
REQUIREMENTS
• Education/ Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field OR
2 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or a related role (internships or freelance work acceptable)
- Experience in the furniture, interior design, or manufacturing industry is a plus.
Technical Abilities
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Proficient in social media platforms and tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and project management tools
(e.g. Trello, Asana).
Skills
- Familiarity with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).
- Basic knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics, and content management systems (e.g., WordPress).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating compelling marketing copy.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
