+ The Ford Credit Accounting Senior Analyst serves a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting related to securitization programs and the integration of our new U.S. industrial bank.
+ This role will contribute to a dynamic team, shape accounting processes, and gain valuable leadership experience.
What you'll do...
+ Monthly / Quarterly Financial Close
+ Prepare standard (recurring) and non-recurring journal entries related to securitization programs and the associated intercompany transactions including cash, finance receivables, and debt for Ford Credit U.S., Canada, Europe, and Mexico
+ Perform monthly reconciliations of key balance sheet accounts, investigating and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner
+ Prepare and analyze monthly and quarterly journal entries and financial reporting schedules; identify and explain period-over-period variances
+ Ensure all journal entries are properly supported and documented, and that close metrics are completed accurately and on time
+ U.S. Bank Integration
+ Design auditable and well-controlled accounting processes that incorporate U.S. bank requirements
+ Collaborate with IT to develop and execute system testing plans for new accounting processes related to the U.S. bank integration
+ Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of accounting processes and procedures
+ Maximize effectiveness with minimal labor-intensive control activities
+ Other Responsibilities
+ Provide information to PwC or other parties as required
+ Perform new deal analysis to ensure proper accounting treatment
+ Conduct accounting research to ensure proper accounting and disclosure of transactions
+ Support MCRP testing and other internal control activities
You'll have...
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in accounting or auditing, with a focus on financial reporting
+ Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, particularly related to debt, consolidation, and cash flow
+ Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis techniques
+ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
+ Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with all levels of the organization
+ Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team
+ Experience with internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and Sarbanes-Oxley (S-Ox) compliance
+ Ability to generate ideas for improvement and implement those ideas independently
+ Experience collaborating with cross-functional team members to navigate white-space and implement solutions
