Job Summary: The Programme r/ Sr. Network Technician is responsible for ensuring that the larger projects are functional from a networ k and programming sta ndpoint . This will require that he/she ensures scope of work and client s needs are met by the designed system. Higher level programming and field support may be necessary. Duties & Responsibilities: Design and build dedicated space for programming and burning- in of all systems Meet with designer during the initial sales process to ensure all necessary parts and services are included Review sales order , product list and elevations with rack technician Test a nd burn- in all systems at the shop prior to going to the job site , updating firmware as needed Program advanced lighting systems using floor plans and/or blueprints Respond to incoming requests for programming via phone and email on-site troubleshooting may be required when remote is not successful Initiate Change Order process when programming requests exceed original budgeted system allowances Bench test and demo all new product s going into the field Contact vendor and industry experts regarding any new equipment or recurring service Provide remote support for other techs in the field via phone and/or screen sharing Implement system to track daily remote support needs of techs in the field Communicate with clients regarding warranty or non-warranty programming changes as required Adherence to project timeline and expectations Set up, pre-configure and program networks, control systems, cameras, and NVRs Review & react to daily updates to project documentation and work orders in job management software Accurate time clock entries and job costing Make decisions and be held accountable to Time and Materials Conduct quality checks and enforce company standards On call rotation maybe required Local travel to job sites as needed Provide training or communication to disseminate pertinent information as required Fiscal responsibility for all assets assigned and property within Programmer s care Customer service, including the ability to work with high profile and high demand customers Guardianship and preservation of client confidentiality and network/home security Adherence to state and federal laws, including adherence to traffic laws Qualifications: M ust possess an understanding of all AV systems including audio, video , security, lighting, and integration of all insta lled brands. M ust have a robust understanding of networking and be able to design and dep loy advanced networks . Must pursue continuing education on systems including audio, video, security, lighting.
