PURCHASING SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION About the Company: BRAVAS is the #1 traditional custom integrator nationwide, installing and servicing high-end home automation solutions for predominantly residential customers. Job Summary: The Purchasing Specialist is responsible for managing the procurement of inventory and non-inventory items to support production and service across all company locations. This position will work closely with vendors, warehouse teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely ordering, accurate tracking, and cost-effective purchasing. The role includes cross-functional coordination with the Shared Services team, ensuring product availability, supporting intercompany transfers, and maximizing vendor rebates. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Process all purchase requests in accordance with Central Purchasing SLAs. Ensure all standard product requests are submitted by the end of the next business day. Prioritize URGENT requests for same-day ordering (if submitted before 3 p.m. CT) or by 10 a.m. CT the following day (if submitted after 3 p.m. CT). Notify stakeholders if products cannot be sourced within the SLA timeframe. Maintain accurate and up-to-date order and shipping information in iPoint, including ETAs and backorder statuses. Monitor product availability and coordinate substitutions or change orders as needed. Check availability for intercompany inventory requests and facilitate transfers between locations. Job Title: Purchasing Specialist Department: Procurement Reports to: Purchasing Manager Date Created: May 13, 2025 Communicate with vendors and internal teams regarding product availability, backorders, shipping updates, RMAs, pricing changes, and billing issues. Responsible for checking availability for all Intercompany Available Inventory requests and will facilitate Intercompany Inventory Transfers between the warehouse managers of the shipping and receiving locations. Ensure correct application of pricing, discounts, and freight fees Purchase strategically to minimize freight costs and maximize volume rebates each quarter. Disseminate important vendor updates to locations and HxD/HxE teams. Skills and Abilities Required: Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Excellent communication and follow-up abilities. Proficiency in iPoint Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. Team-oriented mindset with proactive problem-solving. Education and Experience Required: · High School Diploma or GED · Experience with purchasing for an organization. Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. · Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
