ICN/Wound Nurse

At Norwichtown Rehab and Care Center we are committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care to our patients in the Norwich, CT area. We are currently seeking a dedicated ICN/Wound Nurse to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in wound care and the ability to work closely with patients to develop and implement care plans that promote optimal healing and recovery.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Provide skilled wound care management to patients with acute or chronic wounds.

+ Assess, document, and monitor patients' wounds and overall skin integrity.

+ Develop and implement individualized care plans for wound management.

+ Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, physical therapists, and other nurses to deliver holistic care.

+ Educate patients and their families on wound care techniques and prevention strategies.

+ Ensure that all care is provided in accordance with industry best practices and compliance standards.

+ Monitor and track wound healing progress, adjusting care plans as needed.

+ Manage and maintain wound care supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:

+ Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid Connecticut state nursing license.

+ Certification in Wound Care (CWCN, WCC, or similar) preferred or willing to obtain within a set timeframe.

+ Proven experience in wound care, including managing acute and chronic wounds.

+ Strong critical thinking, assessment, and problem-solving skills.

+ Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

+ Excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate with healthcare professionals.

+ Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of patients.
